What needs to be changed from my set up (328i manual box, 328 prop and a 2:65 slipper)
to make the 6 speed gearbox fit?
I'v read somewhere that a support needs to be made...? if so, thats not a problem,

i 'm assuming the diff is ok, the car feels immense, it just feels like it needs an extra gear :D

what about the prop, is there a straight fitting one?

will the M20 fly and starter be ok?

what gear linkage needs to be used?

and

what rubber mounts?

oh yeah, will there be much difference in the actual gearing?
M50 Turbo!!! :o I shall say no more :D

Im sure Danthe used one off a diesel e46 but iirc also had problems with the fly/clutch as the splines were different.

Its in his thread somewhere.

Search for S50 M3 6 spd and the user name ian332isport. That should bring up the info you need from one of Ian's threads.

From memory you will need a modified gearbox cross member and a shortened prop front section. Diff wise, I'm sure the M3 6spd runs ratios close to the E30 M20 5spd box - I think the 6th gear is almost identical to the E30 5th. I'm sure Ian ran the standard 325i Sport 3.91:1 lsd, but changed to a 3.64:1 after a while.
