My 316i M50B25 conversion

Hello, I have a G reg 316i in Lachssilber Metallic. It's a lovely solid shell with just a few bubbly bits (boot lid, one rear arch and a scab on the sunroof). I've been driving it for about 9 months with the 316 lump and its a slow, tappy old girl... So it was time for change! (316i engine has met the scrap

). I've never done an engine conversion before and this one comes across simple compared to other options. I'm having the help of my boyfriend (Ex Ford fanatic.. But I soon changed his mind when he got to see the luxury of BMW). I bought a donor car which was a F reg 325i which had the M50 and all the ancillaries necessary for the conversion but it was rusty as sh*t!! So me and the Mr trekked up to Cambridgeshire with the trailer and picked it up.... Driving it to the trailer down the road from the house was fun as it has a welded diff which was an experience! But cutting a long story short it has its problems with the distinct 'bodgeness' of the work done to it... (One tranny mount on the Getrag 260 box, 11 blade fan, the worst attempt at an exhaust ever created, wanky grinded wheel spacers and the heater water pipes were blanked off!!) so I've bought a few goodies such as a 6 speed M3 gearbox, lightened flywheel etc.
I'm going after the sleeper look preferably but with a little eye candy !!! I've left this a bit late as the 325i is stripped and the 316i is empty and in the process of tarting the engine bay, but any things better than none .

I've done a lot more since these photo's, so I ought to take some more! But this is all I have for now!
