e46 320d box with m52 swap?

Finally found out the gearbox i have bought which was meant to be a 328i zf box is actually a 320d box from a e46.
Anyone know if its been done before and what the ratios are compared to the 328i box?
If its no good il get my money back or keep it and put the rear 3 bolt flange onto my getrag 250 box and use my m3 prop.

Get rid, I fitted the 6 speed version to my 3.2 and it was just too much work.

You cant swap the flanges either IIRC, you will need an E30 320i prop, much cheaper than an M3 prop

Cheers dan . The box is a lot heavier and bigger than the getrag.
I put some gunk on to clean it and can see where someone has wrote on it in paint pen and cleaned it off again.
Going to look for 320 prop ;) are 318 is the same?
