M52 Plumbing Questions - Breathing/CCV

Hiya, couple of quick questions as my M52 is now sitting in my E30

1. Is it possible to delete the CCV and run a breather/catch tank for the top rocker cover breather? Thus deleting the need to weld a boss into my E34 dipstick tube for the return and elminating any potential issues with the CCV?

2. The throttle body appears to be heated/cooled with two water pipes? Any issues with piping this out as im assuming this would only serve to heat the air entering the inlet manifold?

3. What have people done with the charcoal filter? Im tempted to throw it in the bin, but as it has an electrical connector attached, will this throw up fault codes or limp mode in the ECU?

1. Yes. Basically copy the M50 setup.

2.No issues at all.

3. Bin it. Block the pipe to the inlet manifold (from the solenoid valve) and leave the pipe to the back of the car open.
Disconnecting the solenoid will throw a fault code (and illuminate the MIL light if you fit one), but won't affect running. You can overcome this by leaving the electrical connection plugged into the valve, or connecting a resistor of a suitable value in place of it. BMW actually list a resistor for the job, for use in some obscure market where emissions stuff wasn't required.
