is the twin vanos m52b28 any different to fit into an e30 than a single vanos?
i've heard it complicates things much more

Yeah the twin vanos is more of a pain due to the engine management side of things that needs readings from all over the car.
fitting the engine is no more bother, but the ECU needs signals from various sensors that are not found on an E30.

If you are after an engine, I'm pretty sure B7 on here has a M52 B28 for sale, he is Surrey way.

that's right but i'm in deliberation as i've got someone who is selling at similar price but with the gearbox
