There are several options for engine mounts. E34 m5 mounts are a popular choice but I recommend AKG ones if you are planning any track time.

DanThe sells m52 manifolds converted to fit at a very reasonable price.

E28 M5 mounts I thought?? That's what's used on the S50 and mounting that should be the same as M50.

It has been done like that, but it is very expensive and needs to be custom... unfortunately the ones that came with your m52 are unlikely to fit due to the reduced space and steering UJ

Fritz bitz make a tubular manifold but I don't think the cost vs power increase is worth it. Modified m52 ones flow well.

Thanks for the advice I going to give up on the branch. It was more for the sound, not much beats a straight 6 on noise.

You can fot a s50 tubular from the m3 straight on. Tubular manifolds dont give muchextra power but they look awesome!

They will bolt straight on in an E36, but not in an E30.
Not to mention the port size difference between M52 and S50 - the large step from head to manifold will do sod all for the M52.
