Are you trying to ask if it's common to strip threads replacing a head on an m52 (only thing I can guess you are trying to ask). If so, yes it's very easy to do it so you need to be careful. Make sure the holes in the block are clear with no coolant/oil in and torque the bolts up to the correct torque on the right order to minimise any chance of damage.

not the head just the cam journals.

As said its only the head bolts are common for pulling threads on the block.

Can't see them pulling threads at all, just torque them correctly.
