VANOS shaft

any one know how to install the VANOS shaft that bolts into the cam on the inlet?

it is a just a torque setting? or any marks for a guide to line up?

I used these videos after doing lots of reading up on it. The information is readily available. I searched on here and googled it. Also check out the besian systems (?) website

i get it now. as long as the VANOS is lined up right to the cam it all good.

just need to know the shaft torques. for the VANOS INLET spocket that lives inside the inlet cam

I can't remember exactly but I remember it feeling low. But I stuck to the exact BMW specs and the cars been running fine for years now.
I googled vanos spring upgrade and found the specs that way. There's a spring washer that early m52's didn't have on the inlet and people fit them as an upgrade and to reduce vanos rattle further.
I bought everything from the dealers when I did my vanos seals only to find that my engine already had it all. Think all the bits are still sat on the shelf in the garage.

i found the setting for it 40 Torques + 60 degrees
