After fitting some S52 cams, I realised the vanos unit is doing fookall only pissing air past the o-ring and obviously oil once being driven.
Makes sense anyway though as after driving it recently I thought it wasn't pulling quite as well as it used in the top end as it did before when I put the engine into first or fitted the M50 inlet

took it apart now but I can't find the part numbers on realoem or anywhere for rebuilding it and I need it back together fairly quickly.

Probably just not looking hard enough or if somebody has all the bits lying in a corner ready to go, it would be quite handy too... Dan? :)

danthe does the upgraded vanos seals mate
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

bmw dont sell the seals just the unit RIP OFF!!

yes Rich, but danthe's seals last 4 times longer than bmw's own. so in theory, the engine would die before you need to change them again lol
