Hi guys,

Have found a cheap, crashed 328 E36 and am thinking of having the engine for my E30. The car doesnt have keys, so no chip etc. for the EWS.

Now as my car is a track car, I have a separate wiring loom for everything. Fuel pump is on a switch, starter is wired directly etc. If I do the same with the E36 ECU... i.e. just give it power and earths where required, will this bypass the EWS?

Thanks in advance

James

Nope, but you can have the EWS requirement deleted from the ECU, send me a pm and I can do this for you

Awesome. So if I was to fit some throttle bodies I've got lying around, you could also map the ECU to suit?

M50 inlet won't give me the same trouser tent noise that GTR throttles will...

It's stuff I have lying around as I work for a Skyline breakers. So only needs my time to make up a manifold
