right boys ive replaced god knows how much now, ive managed to get a good idle its pretty solid 99% of the time

almost all of the time on throttle however im running with a missfire.

the car runs fine on minimal throttle with low load. higher load and low revs it will missfire the most

its is definitely running lean - i can smell it and there is a puff of smoke after you slow from acceleration

if you apply the throttle very slowly, usually you can get away without missfiring, if you stamp on it it missfires a lot.

we've swapped a lambda in the place of both current lambdas and still the same story,

ive just swapped the throttle position sensor - no change

ive swapped to another maf - exactly the same

the only things i have left that i can think of are

1 - i have an noisy injector - ill get these refurbed
2 - the fuel pressure regulator isnt working and is stopping flow to the injectors?
3 - bad stuff is happening with vanos?

any ideas?

cheers,
Matt

I had a pesky missfire and it was the rail that the electrical connectors onto the injectors are in.

It was lifting off the top of the injectors in the middle. Check that this pushes down and that all the clips are properly "clicked" onto the tops of the injectors.
