Exhausts

Alright lads, I'm a bit stumped on this one.

My mate is in the process of modding the exhaust manifold to clear the cross-member, but I'm unsure what to do with the rest of the system.

I still have the complete E36 system, but weighs a ton and obviously it has cats, so it's not an option. I will be chopping the front pipes off though as I know I'll need these.

I've sourced a custom M3 exhaust system which is £300 (hope to knock him down if I decide to go this route), but it's 1 piece so I will need to cut it to transport it, so requiring welding again at some point. Then I assume it will require more welding to mate to my exhaust manifold.

There's some M3 exhaust pipes on German ebay, basically missing a centre box and back box. I reckon these pipes would set me back about £90 to get shipped here. Again requiring the welding of the front pipes and the custom boxes being made, so unsure how much this might cost.

I've pm'd Dan about his system, as nice as it would be to have a bolt on system I don't think I can afford it! my wedding is in a few months...

I reckon the custom M3 system knocked down to £250 is my best option, but any input is appreciated guys.

I dont do anything past the frontpipes mate, just do moddified manifolds and custom frontpipes to join onto an E30 325i system.











Or if your using an M3 system you can have just the front halfs of the frontpipes and an M3 flange

I'm going to be using the front halfs and flange from dan with my M3 exhaust and scorpion backbox.

Have you looked into how to mount it all up? I see my exhaust has 2 hanger locations, the old one had one, and the backbox had a bracket to suspend it as well which the old system didnt have. No idea if this is standard or not?

Haven't thought how to mount it up yet Jozi, will cross that hurdle when I get to it
I've gone for the M3 system, I can see from the pics there is 2 hangers also..I saw this from leeparkes earlier about the correct bracket to use: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=05&hl=50 but I will have to wait until the exhaust arrives to double check the size of the backbox before I order anything else.
