m44 gearbox

i have a 96 318is 1.9 coupe, has anyone used this gearbox on a m52 conversion?

anyone!!!!! its a e36 1.9 16valve is coupe .i beleive the engine is a upgrade of the e30 318is lump so could i use my box instead of the 318?

The problem is 5th gear is 1:1 and you'd need a diff with a ratio of 3.25 or similar.
