i had this, pour the coolant through the top hose into the block.squeeze the top hose with your finger over the rad hole just inside the actual rad below the filler cap till you have no bubbles, wait till the thermostat opens and repeat with gloves on cos them hoses get hot.

you'll be fine, theses suckers hold about 12 ltrs of council pop so you want about 5-6 ltrs of anti-feez in there .

I had a problem where if I was doing 50mph+ the heaters would blow cold, but when I was around town and traffic they'd be warm.

I recently rebled my system and now it just takes ages to go warm. It has taken a lot of water to get to this stage... best advice is fill up with water till it's all fine, then add the coolant afterwards!

i have don it so the outlet from the rear of the head goes to the bottom stub on the bulkhead and the one from the front of the head with the hard pipe goes to the upper stub on the bulkhead.

I had the hoses the wrong way round when I first did it, worth trying them the other way I think.

The hoses are the correct way around.
Pull off the top heater hose, let coolant flow from the stub and the pipe, and push the pipe back on while it is doing so.

^ new tricks , i have a conversion build to bleed tomorrow .

any information/pointers/tips on this stubborn pig of a job is gladly received.

these belta's hold 12 ltrs of coolant that's where all the air comes from.more if you have a larger a/c rad so don't forget the anti freeze...
