What prop and gear linkages are used when using an M50 525i/325i direct 5th gearbox in an E30?

Im a bit confused.

I always thought M52 boxes were bigger than M50? also with an M50 box the M52 (or) E30 M3 prop cant be used as it has a larger rubber guibo. So im guessing it has to be an E30 prop of some sorts.

"The best gearbox to use is from an H plate 520i or 525i 24v. These early 24v cars used a Getrag 260 overdrive gearbox which is identical to an E30 325i and E34 525i unit, but the bellhousing bolt pattern is altered to make the engine sit over at more of an angle. This means you can use the existing 325i prop and not have to fit a different final drive"

You can also use the M20 linkages, but they need to be bent in some way; I didn't find a clearer explanation of exactly HOW they need to be bent, but they should be.

Depends on box type Lee, if its a Getrag you can use an E30 320 prop, if its a ZF you can use the 323/328/later 325 prop

I have a rare and desirable overdrive M50 box on the shelf if anybody wants to keep the ratios as they should be

Its for the pact, im using the 318ti (same as M50) gearbox with an E36 325i prop and linkage, i want to use an overdrive box for the diff i have.

I know of a 318is box but wasnt sure if the prop would stay the same length.
