I have modified my M20 temp sensor to fit the M52 block, but need to know where.how to wire it in. I know I need to connect the brown/violet wire rom the M52 sensor to the M20 sensor, but what about the other wire from the M20 sensor? Would somebody please advise.
Thanks

What other wire from the M20 sensor? Should be a single pin sensor which only needs connecting to the Brown/Violet wire

I took the brown sensor from my old knackered M20 engine and the brown plug for it has 2 wires attached.

A very long time ago, M20 'brown' sensors did have two terminals. Unlikely, but it's possible you have one of these.

OK, had a look today. The sensor has 1 pin/terminal, but the plug had 2. I kept the brown /violet one & connected it to the same wire on the M52 loom and removed the brown/yellow wire completely.
I haven't started the car yet, so don't know if it works!
