is ews interchangeable?

hi,
scrapped a 328i today,removed the ecu, ews system, ring etc, so the ews is complete, just wondering if it is interchangeable ie can run with a different engine as the engine was scrap so that got weighed in.
any help appreciated,

Yes it will run another engine.

aslong as ''everything'' is there it would be worth in the region of £110.... this is what i payed for my last set 8)
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

8O They were changing hands for £50 last year.

yeah mate, but due to the amount of people wanting real power in their e30's nowadays they command a price as they are needed....... the e34 sumps and pick ups and also the m50 inlets are in the same boat now!! :mad:

cal it greed, call it what you like but people know these conversions are impossible without much needed bits...... 8O

i wasnt paying that much :mad:

I was just about to ask the same, as far as I know the ecu needs to be matched to the ews modul, I could be wrong?

chipped key, ecu, ews module and the smaller box..... if i remember right the transponder has to match aswel but that im not 100 percent on

Key chip, EWS II module and ECU need to be from the same car to avoid expensive realigning and coding. Ring antenna and the Tx/Rx box that the antenna plugs into can be from any car.
