where can we source the mounts?

are there other mounts that can be used for the m50 conversion?

i used the standard e36 engine mounts with no issues if you're doing it on the cheap. m20 ones don't give enough clearance btw. and the 535 ones are dealer or ecp i believe.

The E36 mounts are very tight on the chassis, you will probably have to force them in (hammer/big bar) but they are prone to failure on E36's
With the E30 subframe having a different angle they will be in twist once you have them tightened up, this IMO will only help them fail quicker.

The best all round mounts I have found are for S38/M30 engines, part number = 11-81-1-128-932

Nothing a spacer (thick washer) won't solve.

e28 m525 mounts are what ive used... they've had 5000 miles of abuse with the m50 and had hell with the m52 for the best part of 2-3 months now..... they are fine 8)

i would not use e36 mounts, do it properly - do it once :)
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D
