power steering pump m50 conversion with e30 rack

ive got the m50 engine in and tbh im quite happy with the e30 rack speed so im not too fussed about the e36 conversion atm. ive got the m50 p/s pump and associated pipes coming soon as they didnt come with the engine. has anyone fitted this combination and if so how did you go about lining up the pipes? im aware that if the e36 rack is fitted later the rear mani is a mod job. cheers

I ran this for a while, I don't remember there being any issue connecting the e30 PAS pipes to the M50 pump. You will still need to mod the mani even with an E30 rack though. HTH!

cheers dude. so the mani still needs a good inch off the 3 branch then. better to know now rather than later.
