Sorry to be a pain in the arse but the headers have got me vexxed

I have bought a set of stsndard 328 headers, i know just the rer one has to be modified to cler the steering linkage, but im not 100% on how to modify it.

I know it needs an inch cutting out and re-attaching but does the bottom connecting flange need removing ?

I was wondering if I could save a few bob this month if it cleared the standard manual rack's linkage until I get everything sorted to pop the e36 rack on it.

they both need modding to clear the rack and link. you might as well remove both flanges and refit straight pipe as that gives the most clearance, it's a little tight back there as pretty much everything gets in the way.
