Hola all, just fitted the clio servo to my 325 in preparation for the m52 swap and at the same time removed my abs pump to give me some space ready for the m52 airbox.
i fitted a spacer to lengthen the clio pushrod and also made up a new set of pipes for the abs removal, this was all bled properly and i went for a little drive to test it.
the brakes are now initially super sharp on gentle squeezes and the pedal is very high, however when you want to brake hard it feels like the car isn't capable of doing so, and the brakes aren't very good?
i tried to adjust the balance bar for the pedal being high however the brake lights switch isn't adjustable and i can't get a good balance between the brake lights working and the pedal having a little travel.
also the brakes are binding slightly and sticking on?
so i guess my questions are..
does anyone else find the clio servo has almost two stages of feel for braking and isn't up to the job under heavy load?
does removing abs from a car require a different master cylinder or is it just a case of take it off and thats it?
at the moment i'm wondering if the extra piece i put onto the clio servo is too long and needs shortening?
cheers for your thoughts,
Kev

If the brakes are binding on it sounds like your spacer is a little too long.

i think thats the case too, i'll go and shorten it now and see if that cures it.

well that sorted it. shortened the pin and now it feels tidy although theres still too much pedal travel before the brakes come into action but i assume that this is altered by the brake balance bar running across the cabin?
