If its an m50 they are about £194 in bmw and around £64 in gsf
You can rejoin the wires but use proper lambda wire, don't just use any wire as I tried using 30amp wire on my m52 and it burnt the loom out and with it took out my ews ect!
Now I've redone it using lambda wire and all fine. 8)

Talk about learning the hard way! Good advice!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Yeah mate tell me about it :(, I could have
I had to have a whole new loom, ecu, ews gear and chipped key all because of a bloody lambda!!
But since using proper lambda wire she's been fine, hasn't stopped the paranioa though lol

Danthe tells me lambda wire is higher voltage and is silver coated, when stripping it this becomes apparent 8)

At least your all sorted Ant! Bet that gave you a sleepless night lol

@ Danny-C you could always grab a used one from the scrappy/ebay for a fraction of the price....

Haha no problem mate. Trust me its a problem you could do without!

Danthe put 15amp fuses in the lambda supply wires on my new loom so if that happened again (which it hasn't thankfully) it wouldn't burn as far as the loom, might be worth you doing mate 8)

Ive had a couple of looms now where people have tried to wire in aftermarket sensors (universal) and its gone horribly wrong, it doesnt just burn the lambda wires it takes out most of the loom :(
