Metal thermostat housing

I have a metal thermostat housing off a 94 e36 320.
It uses a paper gasket and not the red profile gasket i have read about on here.


Can i use this housing ?

The housing i have uses number 7.
Cant see it being a problem but thought i'd better check :D
