M50 Water pump

does anyone know if this GSF waterpump is equivalent to the KWP part from ECP? (a few abreviations going on there!)

Ive had one, and sent it back. There is no other aftermarket pump as good as the KWP, IMO

Sorry to ressurrect an old thread, can someone give me the ECP part number that I need (KWP pump)? They seem to have a few and I want the best one possible.

Also, my belt tensioner may not be 100%, it's the mechanical type, can this be changed for the hydraulic type (M50B25)? is this recommended? Is this easy to do with the engine installed as I may decide to just get her running in the first instance (never seen it running).

EDIT: OK 201110125 by the looks, the other ones are for M20 engine

As long as you tell them its the KWP pump you want you shouldnt have problems.

Ive always found the mechanical tensioner lasts longer, ie keeps the belt tighter for longer, but its recommended to use the hydraulic type on the Alpina versions of the M50/52 engines as in some cases the mech type can disintegrate causing a lot more damage than it costs to buy a new one.

Easy to change with the engine and rad in the car

Got mine a couple of months back, it does look a good piece of kit. Might try and fit it over xmas if it ain't too cold...
