What have you guys done for an exhaust? Is a custom or diy job or do most adapt a 325 system?

Been told a m3 exhaust might be a good match for the m52 as power is similar? Don't think the m42 system would be a very good match :p

On my non-vanos I've got S50 manifolds chopped about a bit, going to sleeve joints just past the crossmember, going into some customised front pipes then into the rest of a standard 325 e30 3-piece system. The lambda's in one of the custom front pipes. It's not perfect but it Dyno'd at 192 so I don't think it's too restrictive.

I started off with a shitty second hand big bore stainless system, it was always hanging down too low and catching on stuff, this catching then fucked one of the flexi's in the S50 manifolds and what a ball ache it was changing that with the engine in the car :( Plus it was too loud for a daily driver. OEM fit it where it's at IMO :)

Do e36 systems go on with much messing about then?
