looking at the 328i lever it may give a shorter throw but i havent tried it to see if it fits / clashes with the prop.

shouldn't clash with the prop, the m3 prop doesnt have the vibration damper.

ahh right, i used the full 328i prop with reversed centre bearing.

ok got it in and running but whats happened to my clutch?

its really light with no bite feel and what bite there is seems to be on the floor. pretty sure its bled right, brand new clutch and slave cyl.

Have you checked for any leaks Nick? Does sound like it needs bled .

not had a look under it yet jake but i can't see owt from the top and theres no drips on the ground. it does work as i had a cheeky drive round the block.

maybe i've not bled it right, i'll give it another go tomorrow.

M20 clutch? I find the best way to bleed a clutch is to remove the slave cylinder and turn it so the bleed nipple is at the highest point, slackened off the air will come out by gravity, you can also push the rod in by hand to move more fluid

been tooling around in the car today, nice and quick it is too. :D

does a lot of backfiring on overrun though, any ideas why it would do that? its not massive noise but its popping away a lot after a jab of the throttle.

throttle cable is a weak point...ive cobbled it together and its dodgy. i believe an m50 TC is the ideal solution...is that right?

Its on an E34 loom, but not an E36 loom, pretty easy to wire in if you want to

E34 525i cable is the one to use 8)
