M52 conversion hazard lights not working.

Check for power (with a lamp) at the red/white wire at the dash loom plug, next to the accessories socket. This plug and socket has a locking mechanism on it, so isn't likely to partly fall out, but a possibility is that it's been targeted by a less than competent alarm fitter. BMW provided the E30 with alarm connection points, but not all fitters know this. They do know, however, that the feed to a hazard light switch is going to be a permanent live, so occasionally you will find an alarm connected to this wire.
