E34 dipstick tube mate, or at the very least blank off the Y piece on the E36 dipstick tube.
I bought a new dipstick tube from the dealers, I think it was only about £10

The M52 tube is a larger diameter so wont fit into the E34 sump, E34 dipstick tubes are now £24+vat
skanking ********.....
I welded a stub to the base of the E34 tube for the drain to connect to
You can just about see it in this pic

Right little update of what ive done today ...not much. Ive still got to do the oil return pipe but that shouldnt effect the cars running should it?
This morning ive been playing about with bits and bobs trying to get the car to idle correct . It was running on the 3 cylinders closest the bulkhead so ive cleaned the spark plugs up on the front 3 and that sorted that problem . All the sparks were a little black but nothing series just the front 3 had abit of fuel on them. But as ive said that seems to be sorted.
Ive still got the problem of the car not idleing correct tho ive had the inlet on and off so many times and can see anything thats not connected or leaking air.ive got to buy a new brather that goes to the cam but ive temporarly done abit of bodger with the electrical tape for the time being until thats sorted .
Heres a video of what it sounds like now the the manifolds are both on and tight and the downpipe is just temporaryily connected to the exhaust as waing for the z3 shifter. so basically this is where im at, at the moment just going over things with not alot of luck any input would be great thanks

Right still stuck on this ..
Any ideas on this there's definently no hoses that I've missed .
Am I right in thinking 318is cable is fine to use?
Also can I still use diagnostics to help find a dodgy sensor etc
Thanks Gary
Sorry for so many questions
