I've just picked up a m52b28 for my 318i, I'd say I'm pretty much comfortable with all aspects of the conversion expect the wiring, I still can't get my head around what part of the loom I'm chucking away and what part I'm keeping, the m52 has a loom and ecu

Can somebody help please

If you aren't comfortable with the wiring, send it to DanThe who does a complete plug and play conversion on it

Added benefit of this is that it works with all the OEM grommets, mounts etc and fits under an M40 plastic loom cover. So it looks factory, rather than having wires wrapped in insulation tape spidering all over your engine bay.
