Which oil?

Just fitted the m52 and need to fill it with oil. What is the best oil grade to use? Been stood a while so needs a good de-gunk as well so whatever j put in will come out at the end of march. Is 5w30 ok to use?

if it's been sitting a long time and needs a de-gunk, use like your 5w30 non synth, disable the engine from firing and crank it a couple of times to get oil to the top end, then start/warm her up and pour in something like Wurth engine flush oil additive to clean her out, take her for a short run, then dump the oil and filter for new, as article above says use 5w40 synthetic oil.
