Hi all..

Hope you can give me a answer on this one.

Picked up my head from the machine shop today and i can see marks left by the machine on it. I thought they are meant to be like mirrors once done and it's a little ruff on the surface too ?

First time i have had a head skimmed so not to sure :?

The finish shouldn't be mirror. The gasket needs a keyed finish.

The finish should me like a mirror if your using an MLS gasket !
Even if your not the finish should look like a record with oil colours if you get my grasp ?
Some machine shops are still using grinding stones for cast iron heads on alloy heads this is not right they should be done with a fly cutter you should really check first hope this helps
