Hello,

I just bought myself a M52B28 engine from a E36 328i Touring.
I'm planning to swap this in my E30.

I heard you need a oil pick up, a dip stick and a oil pan from an E34.

But a friend of mine, who also did a similiar swap, told me I needed a oil pump from a E34 as well. Is this correct? Or can I just use the E36 oil pump?

Because I was searching , I've noticed a E34 528i with a M52B28 doesn't exist , so do I need a E34 525i oil pump ? (M50B25) Is this correct ?

Furthermore, I'm planning to use E34 oil pan, pick up and dipstick from the E34 2liter version, the 520i with M50 engine, this has been confirmed on this forum that the 520i parts are the same as the 525i, for my swap.

Thank you all.

Oil pumps are the same, put your e34 pick up on the e36 pump and fit the e34 sump

Ah okay, so I just can leave the E36 oil pump in it and just use the oil pick up, pan and dipstick, and then everything is oke? thanks. sorry for misunderstanding.
