Lamba/02 sensor positioning

Hi all, i am using an e30 325i exhaust however it doesnt cross anywhere into a single pipe, can i just mount the lamba in one of the pipes or do i have to get an X section? cheers

Doesn't you exhaust manifold have a boss in each for the lambda sensors?

M50 engine I expect

If so then yes it can go in either of the pipes

Yeah sorry its an m50, i have found some manifolds not sure if they have had the sensor ports welded up though, soon find out, if they have il just have to weld in something, cheers for the help
