That would only be a definite problem if you were fitting them to a RHD E36. In a RH drive E30 (possibly with an E46 rack) it's anybody's guess if and what they foul, but it would be a miracle if they went straight in without modification!
I would take the claimed power gains with a very large pinch of salt.
