m50b25 into a 318i

custom exhaust or 325i aftermarket? What is the best way to go with this?

Best is E30 M3 due to the larger internal bore compared to an M20 exhaust.

Yes, it should do. All E30 exhausts follow the same route. The only difference will be the cut out in the rear valance for the tailpipe.
