Has anybody used silicon hoses for this?

I'm really struggling to make something work with silicon. Currently using a 45-degree 22mm-16mm reducing elbow and a length of 16mm flexi hose for the matrix out to pipe on block. However the inlet manifold, when fitted, puts pressure on this and kinks it  - Same strategy doesn't work at all for block to matrix in without kinking hose, I expect a 45-degree reducing elbow and a 130-degree elbow will do it but reluctant to throw more money at it for fear of more wastage.

Half tempted just to hit the scrappy with a measuring tape and pair of calipers and see what I can get to save wasting more money. Unless someone else has done this successfully and knows the exact bits needed...

I'd be interested to know what people have done here too, in advance of putting my lump in!

I used 19mm id wire reinforced silicon flexi hose in the end. Fits and doesn't kink. You might need to shave a fin off the inlet mani though so its not sawing on the hose! Or fit an extra t-bolt to protect the hose. DanThe has a good setup where he's modified the heater inlet/outlet pipes and used various hoses/joiners to run them close to the bulkhead.

Another option is to mock up your ideal hoses with couplers/jubilee clips and off cuts of hose, post the templates to SFS performance and they will custom make them one piece in any finnish you require. They can usually get them done without having to make specific tooling (which is really expensive). Inc post roughly £50-80 ish but a perfect solution and a profesional fit and finnish that won't let you down when you least expect it!
