Just did a track day at Castle Coombe on Monday......

Love the M52 2.8


Now the car is sorted with some good suspension and brakes its awesome.


To anyone who hasnt put one in...... sort you life out and do it

Glad to hear it! Aiming for 1st December for my first track day, not sure on the diff though - have a 3.91lsd in the garage but quite like my 4.10 ratio in a sick bastard kinda way. Gonna send it off to Gareth before I fit it either way.

with 3.64 lsd and 7000 rev limit my car does 135 in 4th gear and goes off the clock in 5th mate.!!

But are you using an e30 box ? As it sound like it to me

Yeah Ant has an iS box, OP's box is an E34/M50 so 4th gear is the same as an E30 5th gear

yes as Dan said i am using an e30 iS box, i mean she's quick enough in the bottom gears but when shes stretching her legs top end of 3rd and upwards she really gets going

Yes it was good if in need of a little TLC and some bits and bobs to make it work!

ECU / Loom / MAF was wrong but DanThe all came good and sorted it all ;) He the Man

Hence top end the gearbox. Wish i used my m42 box now but oh well lol

3.91 LSd

= Top Out 125 ish

yes mate, he got it the wrong way round. cos i get that in 4th gear

with e30 318iS box and 4.10 dif on my old m50 i topped out at around 125.....
