Hi all,

So i'm thinking about this angle thing. Am I missing the point here, or what?

Why don't people just space out the rubber on one side, and cut it down on one side so make it level for the gearbox mount?

Is there a reason people don't do this?

I'm thinking of getting some ally and machining them to same size as the E28 M5 rubbers, then milling them down a bit on one side to get it level.

Is there any reason people don't do this?

Ok, so I found these in the US. These guys use this mount with the normal M20 rubbers and don't seem to have any issues with linkage etc.
Guess the easiest solution is just to copy these.

You will still have to modify the linkage or your gear stick will be angled

Fair enough. Is it a pain in the balls or fairly easy

If you twist the angle of the engine the sump wont be level underneath and at a guess the inlet manifold will be even closer to the brake servo.

Not worried about servo. I'm running a bias box
