Would really appreciate a few pointers on this one
did the wiring on the conversion tonight
following this guide.
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/M5x_Looms
the only wire i was unable to connect was pin 20 red yellow.
Truns over lovely but would`nt start
first issue found was that the fuel pump is not running.
green/purple to green/purple.
so i bridged the live on the fuel pump relay to get the pump running.
i have no exhaust manifolds on the engine at the moment and i could see no fuel exiting the engine.
Still wont start multi meter out and i have constant ignition live to the injectors but no earth i have traced the inj earths back to the ecu!
Also i cannot find a home for the plug that exits the loom about 8" before the MAF plug
and on the other side of the loom with the multi plug with the cap that bridges a few connections ther is a big wire with a round earth type connector on it should that be to earth?
so very close to a mile stone with this machine now i would really appreciate your help

Spare plug near the MAF is for the fuel tank vent valve. I doubt if you're using a closed circuit tank vent, so it won't be used, although connecting the valve or a resistor in its place prevents the ECU throwing an error code and activating the engine fault light output.
The loom should have two medium sized wires with ring terminals coming out of it, which are battery negative (earth) and battery +. Check the colour of the wires under the outer black sheath. The battery + wire is red and the negative is brown or brown/orange.
The red/yellow on pin 20 is the switched power feed to the cars ABS. If your car doesn't have ABS, or it's of the earlier type with a silver relay to the right of the ABS ECU, it will be irrelevant.
Green/purple on the M50 loom to green/purple on an E30 engine loom plug is correct, but the wire is purple/red in the E30 body socket.

Thanks guys
I will have another look this afternoon. Very strange with the fuel pump not a connection issue as if I take the fuel pump relay and bridge the main 12v feed to the purple and green the pump buzzes up so what ever feed the switch on the relay clearly isn't or of corse the relay is capoot.
