hi all, getting a few issues still with my m52 conversion, it has a propensity to stall especially when applying the brakes which i put down to the vaccum change. anyway it's intermittent and annoying so i want to try and get it sorted so was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

I've swapped the icv for another one and gone through all the hoses and can't see any leaks. i plugged it in my machine and it doesn't come up with any fault codes other than the exhaust flap which i obviously don't have.

any ideas?
cheers

I believe I encountered this when I had braking issues and it was the result of a vacuum leak in the brake system. Check the servo and master cylinder O ring is intact and the vacuum pipe to the inlet is all good with a 1 way valve.

Mine used to hiss when I turned the engine off as well.

hmm changed my icv for my spare one and it's worse now than previously! i checked the non return valve by blowing/sucking it and it seems to be working ok and i searched high and low for air leaks but cannot find anything. I haven't removed the servo yet though to test the o ring there as i've run out of time but i think i'll run the engine on idle and cap off the servo temporarily which should eliminate it i believe.
cheers

If you think its something to do with the servo just blank the vacuum hose off and drive it with unassisted brakes for a while to show any differences
