smoking ?

i have a m52b28 it runs fine and ticks over fine but when i give it full throttle and then back off it blows blue smoke out I dont have a clue what this could be so any advice would be great.

Rings or valve stem oil seals?Cant see another way of oil getting in there considering it runs fine. Definitley blue smoke?

In my experience with petrol engines:

Blue smoke=oil
white smoke=water
black smoke=over fueling

Is it a Nikasil engine? Would be worth doing a compression test

nah its not a nikasil engine as far as i know, but i will still do a compresion test
