Hi there. Simple question really. I have noticed that the gear linkage on the E30 325 box is cast ally and potentially brittle. Just wandering how others have managed to modify theirs? Moderate heat first?

Thanks

Mark

I cut and TIG´d it.

Allow it to run/melt nicely before attempting to weld it, also helps to cat some chamfers where you are going to lay the bead.
With great challenges comes great engineering.
