Wiring e39 m52b28

What am I looking for to figure out how to wire up the e39 m52b28 engine?

I found this online recently, is it any good to me:


I know I'm opening myself up for more hasle but it has to be doable. If anything, others can learn from it as well.

Looking at the above image again, it is for a different ecu than what I have.

I had a look on ebay and a few different threads and see the e36 328 uses a Siemens DME MS41.0 ECU, which is what it says on the side of my ecu.

Am I right in thinking that all the wires associated to the auto box ecu can be snipped of?

Are there any threads on thining out the loom, how do you know what can/can't go?

Your ecu will be the same as an E36, you can just cut all the auto wires out yes

Is the rest of the wiring the same as for a e36 m52 as well then?

I was lead to believe I would have problems?
