Having some troubles with the oil light on the check panel.

I have wired:

M50 / E30

P1 -> P2
P2 -> P10

and the brown wire on the sensor to ground.

the light still stays on.

To check the wiring is it possible to use a resistor across 2 of the pins to make the oil light go out?

thanks :)

Thanks,

I will try cleaning it tomorrow. If that doesn't work is there a way to bypass the sensor to turn the light out so I can check the wiring is correct

I'd love to know how to shut the check light up too - short of actually installing a sensor obviously :D
