The vacuum side yes, but not the oil drain side :)

it wouldnt work even if you wanted to do it that way. oil doesnt drain upwards :D

bearing in mind ive not tested mine yet as the lump is still sitting the garage floor, the easiest way i found was to just put a tee into the m50 dipstick.
