Hi all,

So after nearly 2 years of looking at my engine sat on a bench, I've finally got my arse in gear and have stripped it down to rebuild.

The cam and rockers have seen better days, so obviously I've tried to source new ones. The cam is no problem and appears readily available, however, the same isn't true for the rockers.

I've tried, Euro's, GSF, C3 BMW and even turned to e-bay in desperation. Everybody has said the same thing 'BMW stopped stocking them 5 years ago and we haven't had them for at least 2-3 years'.

My touring is a keeper, so I want my conversion done properly.

If anybody can help me out and advise where I can get a new cam kit or just the followers, I'd be really grateful.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks Jim.

I'll let you know how I get on. If I don't have any luck sourcing new, I'll definitely have the cam off you :D

Oh ok, well I would save your money mate, you don't need a new one in my view, come and look at the one i have and measure it, it's as good as new.....just my advice though.

Actually, thinking about it you're right Jim.

I'll have a look at the cam you've got. Let me see if I can source the rockers first and I'll give you a shout later in the week.

That's a good tip about the M10 rockers - thanks

I've got everything I need (I hope), as I bought the entire conversion from Chu who used to be on here a few years back.

It all came straight out of his E30 and into the back of my van.

I've got the loom, ecu, gearbox, radiator, propshaft, engine mounts, scorpion exhaust, short shift kit & big box of parts :D

I guarantee I'll need some help at some point, so I'll get the werthers and biscuits in for you and Rob.
