Just getting my bits together and notice i dont have parts 3 and 4 here as my lump is originally from an auto car

Also just wondering where the bolt (no.5) goes to? it looks to be bolting into the bell houseing ?

I'm using a M535i e28 flywheel so do you think i still need parts 3 and 4

actually looking again at the pic, i'm not 100% now which is the engine side and which is the gb side !!! I thought part 8 was the engine side but then i'm not sure why the triangle thingy is where the clutch plate should go?

4 and 5 is for an auto Jim
You definitely need part 3, and make sure you order bolts for a manual as they are different lengths

How heavy is that E28 fly out of interest? Does it need lightening? winkeye

thanks Dan, i got a bit confused as i selected a manual car on realoem so just assumed all the bits on the parts diagrams would be for a manual, ops!

thanks also for the tip on the fly bolts.

I'll weigh the flywheel and let you know, its from an e28 M535i and is stock, same goes for the clutch kit and gearbox.

Part 3 looks like a spacer ring, wonder if anyone has a spare they'd sell for a few quid ? If not i'll get a price from BMW.
