Hi,

would someone be good enough to let me know how the coolant pipes to header tank and matrix are best routed,

I have the upper matrix pipe going straight to thermostat housing and the lower one the same (have e28 t piece still to fit) but seem to have an extra outlet on this pipe at matrix end, (e34 header tank?)

do i cut this off and make a pipe up which has T piece at other end?

also I ordered a new m20 blue temp sensor to swap for the m30 brown one but thread is much thinner on new one, should I drill and tap a new fitting in spare blank in thermostat housing or have I got the wrong sensor?

Cheers, Frankie

You got the wrong sensor. :) You need a brown M20 sensor to replace the brown M30 sensor, M20 has two pins and M30 has one (or vice versa)

My coolant set up is original M20 cut about 6" from the stat (maybe a bit more) then M30 hose from the stat joined to the M20 where ive cut.
Chuck the T piece in the bin. :)
