Another one in the making
I got my brackets from Lee Parkes on here, fitted perfectly. Postage might cost a bit to Oz, but sure it won't be too expensive.
M30 boxes crop up occasionally on UK ebay, but not very cheap as they are quite rare I think

I sent a set of mounts to Australia earlier this year and the postage was around £50.
They were delivered in under a week.

this is VERY interesting and inspiring !
i was going to wait till i had the motor in and see how much room there is
but with my past history with modifieing things if someone tells me "it cant be done " or that will never fit"
i WILL go ahead and make it fit !
i like the idea of a viscous fan as it is simple

well got some time ! got it all in
using a M10 box with untouched 323i getrag 260 linkage and drive shaft
M20 fly wheel fits on with the M20 starter but i dont think it meshes right as it makes a hell of a noise when cranking
my BIG drama ! wont start
(((((( its sitting there waiting to be thrashed ! but cant
the main relay works (clicks with ig) but the fuel pump relay dosnt.... put power to the pump but still dosnt start
the main harness is a VERY late series 2 with the round plug
Any ideas?

So, is it cranking over with the M20 stuff?
Are you getting 12v at the coil with the ignition on? Is it sparking when cranking?

I think your problem is the starter and flywheel, i'm sure you can't use this combo from the M20

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!
CR24v??? Where's it all gone?? LOL

when i drop motors in i use a old seatbelt nice an soft with a little bit of give in it
but this time it pulled across the TB linkage i think this is why it WAS idleing high
adjusted it up seems to run fine now
but the M20 starter/fly combo gave up (think it chewed the starter teeth out) LOL
dosnt matter didnt cost anything just have to get a M10 fly with a new clutch
but HOLI CRAP does it have some serious torque !!

soooo after going to have the AC gassed and getting it back with the comment "youl never have AC in that car with that motor" i set about having a crack at the clutch fan again....this time i got a specific one .... after a hour of trimming the blades i now have a viscous clutch fan on a M30 converted E30!! i know of 1 other in the middle east an that looked a little average....
am i the only one that has achieved this?
my local BMW converter shop thought a had a bucket load more room that normal ...
pics soon
