Morning guys,
I have an annoying problem on my M30'd cabby. Starting from cold after leaving the car for 24 hours is fine. Starting it after leaving it a week involves lots of cranking, hugely lumpy idle, a bit of throttle before it settles down to idle smoothly.
My gut feel is the fuel rail pressure is slowly draining away, and as I assume the fuel pump only runs when the engine is cranking, it takes time to build up the fuel pressure again.
There must be a one way valve somewhere I guess. Is that inside the fuel pressure regulator?
Thanks,
Martin.
What maintains fuel rail pressure on a stopped M30 engine?

Do you mean sparkplugs? I am struggling to imagine what checking those would show.zaust wrote:But have you done the basic plug check/ clean first.
Cheers,
Martin.
